Abraham bags another brace
Prior to the 2019/20 campaign, Tammy Abraham had made just three appearances for Chelsea’s senior side.
However, Frank Lampard has put a lot of faith in the young forward this season, giving him the number nine shirt and featuring him in all four of Chelsea’s PL games this term.
Abraham would blank in Chelsea’s opening two league games, only featuring for 29 minutes in the second one vs Leicester.
However, the Englishman then bagged a brace vs Norwich, the first of which was his first-ever goal for the Blue’s senior side.
Abraham was in similarly impressive form on Saturday vs Sheffield United, scoring two in the opening 45.

Abraham on Sheff United game
However, despite scoring twice on Saturday, Abraham has admitted Chelsea’s second-half display was not good enough vs the Blades.
Callum Robinson pulled one back for Sheff United a minute into the second half before a Kurt Zouma own goal gave Chris Wilder’s side a probably deserved point.
Abraham conceded that the newly-promoted side were better than Chelsea in the second 45 and also stated he takes responsibility as well:
“We are all disappointed with this draw.
“We’re Chelsea and no team should be able to come here and play better than us, and Sheffield United were better than us in the second half.
“It wasn’t good enough from all of us. I take responsibility as well being one of the players out there.
“We were gifted two goals in the first half and from there we should have killed the game off, come out in the second half and upset the opposition. We know Sheffield United will always fight till the end.
“We should have frustrated them, but them scoring an early goal in the second half didn’t help. From there we had to relax, calm everything down, and go out there and win the game.” As quoted by Chelsea’s official website.
After four games of the PL season Chelsea have now won just one game. And are down in 11th spot.
They will face Wolves in their first game back after the international break.
