Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen have this evening confirmed that a decision on the future of midfield standout Julian Brandt will be made over the course of the next week.
Brandt’s rise to stardom
Brandt, a versatile midfielder who can also play on the wing, has spent his entire career to date on Leverkusen’s books.
After first breaking into the first-team setup of Die Werkself as a raw starlet during the 2013/14 campaign, Brandt has since gone on to establish himself as one of the most highly-regarded young players in Germany over the seasons since.
The technically-gifted 22-year-old possesses a number of impressive attributes, with his creative spark, eye for goal and wand of a right foot having enabled Brandt to rack up an impressive 10 goals and 12 assists across all competitions this season.

‘There will be a decision’
And the German’s stellar showings at the BayArena have certainly not gone unnoticed across Europe.
SportBild, meanwhile, report that his release clause is set to drop to just 25 million Euro in the summer, making the Leverkusen standout a hugely-desirable cut-price midfield addition.
As such, speaking in an interview with Sky Sport News earlier today, Leverkusen Sporting director Rudi Voller was asked for an update on Brandt’s future, with the German legend having appeared to hint at a departure:
‘We know exactly which clubs have knocked [for Brandt].’
‘Brandt has some requests, and in the next five, six or seven days there will be a decision.’
