Burnley have this afternoon been dealt a blow on the injury front, during the club’s meeting with Crystal Palace.
Palace on top
Sean Dyche’s men are currently locked in action with Palace at Turf Moor, in a Premier League clash.
The hosts headed into proceedings amid a solid run of form of late, having put a trio of consecutive league defeats firmly behind them with 3-0 wins over both West Ham and Watford.
Crystal Palace, on the other hand, were winless in their last 5 outings before this afternoon, a run which included 4 defeats.
As such, it has since come as something of a surprise to see the Eagles in control with a quarter of an hour to play.
A Wilfried Zaha strike (his 2nd in two games) on the stroke of half-time sees Palace a goal to the good entering the matchup’s closing stages.
Taylor forced off
And a difficult afternoon for hosts Burnley thus far has also been compounded by a blow on the personnel front.
Late in the first-half, Charlie Taylor picked up a knock, eventually resulting in the stopper being forced off to be replaced by Erik Pieters:

It remains to be seen how serious Taylor’s issue is, with an announcement likely to be forthcoming from Burnley over the next 48 hours.
The Englishman actually only recently returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and had managed starts in the Clarets’ last two Premier League fixtures, both of which saw Sean Dyche’s men secure clean sheets.
