Frank Lampard is continuing to reshape Chelsea and with the transfer window still open across Europe, departures are expected.
Kenedy is a name at Stamford Bridge that been rarely mentioned and is now one that looks set to be offloaded.
The 23-year-old has made just 27 appearances for the Blues in his four years spent in west London.
Sassuolo in talks to sign Kenedy
Following an underwhelming loan spell at Newcastle United last season, Kenedy returned to his parent club, Chelsea.
However, having now had time to work under Lampard, it is clear he is not part of the club’s plans.
Serie A club Sassuolo have expressed an interest in the Brazilian and he could now arrive in Italy, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Following an injury suffered to the club’s current left-back Rogerio, Sassuolo have been forced to delve into the market.
Kenedy is a player who they have set their sights on, with the Chelsea full-back having a similar profile to Rogerio.
