Chelsea’s Tiémoué Bakayoko close to Monaco return – Bouhafsi

Bakayoko heading back to Ligue 1

Chelsea’s Tiémoué Bakayoko is reportedly closing in on a return to Monaco, with an agreement close over a loan move with a €35million option to buy.

Bakayoko joined the Blues back in 2017 following a stunning season with Monaco.

The French club had just come off the back of winning a Ligue 1 title.

Monaco also had an incredible run in the Champions League, with a team that included Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy and Thomas Lemar.

However, after joining Chelsea, Bakayoko struggled to establish himself in the first team.

That lead to the player leaving for AC Milan on loan.

Though, he returned to Chelsea this summer, and now he looks as though he could be on his way out again.

Monaco reunion

According to RMC journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, Monaco are close to agreeing a deal with Chelsea for Bakayoko.

He claims that the deal will be a loan move with an option to buy for a whopping €35million.

Finally, he also reveals that Bakayoko has already agreed a deal with Monaco over a return.

Having impressed so much during his time at the club, you can see why they’d be keen on resigning him.

Meanwhile, should Monaco turn Bakayoko’s temporary move into a permanent one, Chelsea could recoup a big chunk of the money they paid for him back in 2017.
