Christian Eriksen’s price tag, Inter Milan to challenge Real Madrid & the latest on Giovani Lo Celso

Tottenham transfer updates

Tottenham fans are still waiting for their club to sign their first player since Lucas Moura joined from PSG two transfer windows ago.

And, to compound matter after their Champions League final defeat to Liverpool, Christian Eriksen admitted on Tuesday he’s open to leave Spurs this summer.

Eriksen’s comments have triggered a wave of Tottenham transfer updates on Thursday.

Christian Eriksen’s price tag

There’s confusion in the British press over how Christian Eriksen’s price tag.

The Mirror and the Star both believe Tottenham will demand 130 million pounds for the Dane.

However, the Times believe that Spurs will only ask for 100 million pounds.

Eriksen’s contract with Tottenham expires at the end of next season.

That means the player will be free to start talks with foreign clubs in January if Tottenham fail to sell him this summer.

Inter Milan vs Real Madrid

The Spanish press have reacted to Eriksen’s quotes on Thursday.

Both Marca and AS carry updates on links between Real Madrid and Eriksen on their front pages.

But will Los Blancos actually manage to complete the deal?

The Times claim that Eriksen is only a plan B at the Santiago Bernabeu:

The Real manager Zinedine Zidane’s preference is for his club first to try to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United and, should they fail, then try for Eriksen.

However, it’s also worth noting that Gazzetta dello Sport have linked Inter Milan with a possible move for Eriksen.

Gazzetta also tell their readers that Eriksen could switch to Inter for around €60-70 million.

Is anyone buying into that?

Giovani Lo Celso & Spurs

It’s previously been confirmed that Tottenham have submitted an official bid to sign Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis.

This week Giovani Lo Celso has given an interview to Spain’s Radio La Red and the topic of switching to Spurs came up. The playmaker revealed:

There’s nothing new about Tottenham, I’m 100% focused on the national team.

We know how strong the English league is, but I’m not focused on that.

23-year-old Lo Celso scored 16 goals and chipped in with six assists for Betis in 2018-19.

Other Tottenham updates

The Times also continue to link Tottenham with other summer deals:

They also hope to sign Ryan Sessegnon, the Fulham winger, and the Lyons midfielder Tanguy Ndombélé.
