Crystal Palace-linked Castagne on his desire to play in the Premier League

Wan-Bissaka to Man United?

It has recently been reported by Sky Sports that Manchester United lodged a bid of £40m for Crystal Palace right-back, Aaron Wan Bissaka.

The report from Sky also claims that that bid was rejected by the Eagles.

However, with Man United seemingly in the market for a right-back and Wan-Bissaka looking to have a bright future ahead of him, the Red Devils could well come back in with an improved offer.

United are now said to want to sign younger English talent and the Palace defender certainly fits that bill.

Castagne linked to Palace

Should Wan-Bissaka and Palace succumb to United’s transfer offensive, the London club will need to sign a new right-back.

According to the Evening Standard, Palace see Atalanta‘s Timothy Castagne as a potential successor to AWB.

Castagne played 37 games across all competitions this past season for the Serie A outfit as they earned Champions League football.

In a recent interview, Castagne has spoken out about his future.

The Belgian declared that he is currently negotiating a contract renewal with Atalanta. But he does go on to state that he would one day like to play in the Premier League:

“In Bergamo I feel great, I have never hidden that

“Now we are negotiating a contract renewal and I think it was right to start talking about it once the season had ended. I am calm, we will see what the owners’ plans will be.

“Serie A is a very competitive legue, I like it, but one day I would like to compete in the Premier League.

“As for the offers, I will be honest, in general there isn’t a lack of them, but the priority is Atalanta.

“In training I have given my all, even when I was out. The coach watched, has noticed and believed in me.

“I am satisfied, I think I have given my contribution for our historic Champions League [qualification].”As quoted by the Evening Standard.
