Wilfried Zaha tells West Ham fans to ‘accept’ defeat
Lying in bed on Sunday morning, Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha has advised West Ham fans to “accept” Saturday’s defeat.
The Eagles came from behind to beat the Hammers 2-1.
Wilfried Zaha addresses bogus spitting claims
The main reason for Zaha’s video was to address claims spreading on social media that he spat at West Ham’s Declan Rice.
Zaha released the following statement:
Let me clear up something that the West Ham fans are trying to make up.
On your own video, you can see that Declan (Rice) runs in front of me and I spit to the right.
So please don’t make up lies that I spat at someone. I have never done it and I never will.
So please, let’s just accept that we won the game and move on.

West Ham 1 – Crystal Palace 2
After a goalless first half, West Ham broke the deadlock through Sebastian Haller in the 54th minute.
However, Palace equalised thanks to a Patrick van Aanholt penalty after Rice blocked a cross with his arm.
The Eagles won the match late on with a goal from Jordan Ayew.
Social media reaction to Crystal Palace’s win
Crystal Palace are fourth in the Premier League following the win over West Ham.
The Eagles have won four of their last six league matches.
Next up for Palace is a home match against Man City on October 19.
Palace beat Man City 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium last season, while City won the reverse fixture 3-1.
