Blow for Everton
Everton’s Bernard suffered an injury during the warm-up ahead of their clash with Manchester City, with the Brazilian being replaced by Tom Davies.
Everton have had a torrid time with injuries of late.
The Blues have lost several players to injury so far in the current campaign, with Andre Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin missing the majority of the season.
Alex Iwobi has recently been out with an injury, while Fabian Delph has been in and out of the team.
Morgan Schneiderlin is another player who has struggled.
Now, Everton have another problem to contend with after the Manchester City clash.
Bernard suffers warm-up injury at Man City
Bernard was replaced in the starting eleven by Tom Davies, just minutes before the clash with Manchester City.
Bernard was selected to play on the left of midfield, and would likely have been an important player in possession.
However, according to the Liverpool Echo, Bernard suffered a knee injury in the warm-up.
They claim: ‘The Brazilian went down with a left knee injury and looked to be in some considerable pain.’

With that, Everton could really struggle on the left-wing.
With both Iwobi and Bernard out, Everton don’t have a recognised left-winger available.
Richarlison used to play in that position under Marco Silva, but has been seen as a striker by both Duncan Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti.
Though, if Bernard’s injury is serious, Richarlison may be forced to go wide again.
