Could he leave Goodison this summer?
Serie A side Fiorentina are reportedly eyeing a move for Everton striker Cenk Tosun after he fell out of favour at Goodison Park.
The Turkish forward joined Everton for a pretty hefty fee of £27million back in January 2018.
While Tosun initially enjoyed a pretty good start to his Everton career under Sam Allardyce, his form has not been so impressive with Marco Silva in charge.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been preferred to Tosun for most of the season and when he’s been given a chance, the forward has only scored three in 27 appearances.
Speaking about his future this week, Tosun suggested he didn’t want to leave Everton this summer.
“I’m not coming back to Turkey. I’m so happy at Everton,” he explained.
“I want to be here for a long time. For my homeland, I want to make my flag proud here.”
Now, there’s one club said to be eyeing a move for him.
Following Kevin Mirallas’ lead
That is because Fiorentina are reportedly eyeing a move for the forward.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, as cited by Football Italia, Fiorentina will likely be interested in taking the player on loan first before exploring a permanent deal.
This would be similar to that of Kevin Mirallas, who joined Fiorentina on loan at the beginning of the season from Everton.

Though, according to the same report, the Italian side won’t exercise their right to sign Mirallas permanently.
That could be different for Tosun though, should he impress in a temporary spell at Fiorentina.
With Everton looking to sign up to seven players this summer, it’s looking more and more likely Tosun will have to look elsewhere to get game time and Fiorentina could represent an attractive option.
