Chelsea 2-Sheffield United 2

Chelsea hosted Sheffield United on Saturday.

The Blue’s got their first league win under Frank Lampard last weekend vs Norwich and will have been hoping for much of the same vs Sheff United.

Things did get off to a great start for Frank Lampard’s side on Saturday as they found themselves 2-0 up at half time.

Tammy Abraham would bag both of those goals.

However, Sheffield United would put on a much better second-half display with the final score being 2-2.

Lampard provides injury update

Chelsea had several of their big stars missing for the draw with Sheff United including N’Golo Kante, Antonio Rudiger and Pedro.

After the draw, Lampard gave updates on the above-mentioned trio.

Chelsea’s next game is against Wolves on September 14th after the international break.

Ahead of the game, Lampard has said he hopes Kante, Pedro and Rudiger are all back for Wolves.

The former England international did also say with Kante he is careful to say he will be back for Wolves. But the medical team are telling him that.

Lampard also stated that Rudiger got through another Chelsea under-23 game on Friday so he thinks the defender is there now.

Lampard concluded by stating Pedro had a small hamstring injury but Chelsea should have the Spaniard training by the middle of this upcoming week so hopefully the trio are all back.
