Fulham defender Denis Odoi was this afternoon stretchered off with a head injury, during his side’s clash with Cardiff.
Fulham vs Cardiff
Scott Parker’s men are currently locked in Premier League action with Cardiff, at Craven Cottage.
The two sides headed into proceedings separated by just one place in the English top-flight table, with Neil Warnock’s visitors having held the advantage.
However, Fulham sat 8 points adrift of their opponents, having long been relegated.
Cardiff, meanwhile, entered the matchup in desperate need of all 3 points, having been 3 points back of 17th-placed Brighton, and safety, ahead of kick-off.
Odoi’s worrying moment
The scoreline remains locked at 0-0 as things stand, with Fulham, despite having little more than pride to play for, having had the better of things.
The capital outfit, though, have also been dealt a worrying blow on the injury-front.
Late in the first-half, a coming together between Cottagers’ teammates Denis Odoi and Maxime Le Marchand saw the latter accidentally kick Odoi in the face, leading to the Ghanaian momentarily losing consciousness on the Craven Cottage pitch.
As such, after a lengthy session of treatment, Odoi was fitted with an oxygen mask and stretchered off, in truly-concerning scenes:

Denis Odoi on a stretcher being taken off the field, I presume straight to hospital. He’s wearing an oxygen mask and what looks like a neck brace and strapped onto the stretcher. It was really bad and I wish him a quick recovery. #FULCAR pic.twitter.com/koUdA06CzN

Though the seriousness of his injury remains to be determined, Odoi’s potential participation in Fulham’s next outing, versus Wolves next weekend, looks highly unlikely as things stand.
