Arsenal’s max exodus
Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin reportedly want to sign Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka in the January transfer window after his problems this season.
The Swiss midfielder has had possibly one of the most difficult seasons of his career.
Arsenal have really struggled throughout the campaign and as captain, the responsibility fell on the shoulders of Xhaka.
After being substituted during Arsenal’s clash with Crystal Palace at the Emirates, Xhaka reacted angrily to the jeers from the crowd, reportedly swearing at them.
Now, it looks as though Xhaka could be one of several players to leave the club in January, with Hertha Berlin looking to sign him.
Hertha want Xhaka, with player open to move
According to Sky Sports, Hertha Berlin want to sign Xhaka in January.
They claim: ‘Head coach Jurgen Klinsmann – the former Tottenham striker- is searching for a holding midfielder and they are targeting the Switzerland international, whose future is uncertain after a run-in with the Arsenal fans.’
Sky’s report goes on to explain that Hertha are ‘hoping’ to agree a ‘financially sensible package’.
It’s also claimed that Xhaka is open to joining Hertha, having been stripped of the Arsenal captaincy.

Xhaka isn’t the only player that could leave Arsenal, according to other reports.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of many players supposedly ‘desperate’ to leave the Gunners.
This comes following a poor start to the season, and possibly Mikel Arteta’s appointment.
