Crystal Place vs Brighton

Crystal Palace are set to play host to Brighton this coming Monday.

Palace head into the tie in fairly decent form having gone unbeaten in their last three Premier League outings.

The Eagles are currently 10th in the English top-flight but they could move as high as 5th with a win over Brighton.

The Seagulls will begin the weekend 12th in the PL, three points adrift of Crystal Palace and four points off the relegation zone.

Roy Hodgson would hold his pre-Brighton press conference on Thursday.

During said press conference Hodgson gave an update on his squad.

And it is not sounding too good for Palace’s defensive options going into the Brighton tie.

Hodgson confirmed that Palace will be without three players for said game.

Those players being named as Jeffrey Schlupp, Patrick van Aanholt and Joel Ward.

Hodgson also stated there are one or two more players that may get added to that list but he was unwilling to discuss that:

“Those two [Schlupp and Van Aanholt] won’t be available. Joel Ward is of course not available. Certainly those [are sidelined].

Unfortunately there are one or two others who might get added but I’m not willing to discuss that now.” As quoted by Crystal Palace’s official website.
