James Milner continues impressive record after Fulham 1-Liverpool 2

Fulham 1-Liverpool 2

Liverpool and Fulham went head-to-head at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

With Manchester City playing in the FA Cup this weekend, Liverpool would go top of the Premier League with a win over Fulham.

Liverpool had drawn a fair few of their recent games and had not looked 100%. However, they did dominate Bayern Munich in the Champions League earlier this week.

Their opponents on Sunday, Fulham, have also been in very poor form and look certain to be relegated come the end of the season.

James Milner’s impressive record

Liverpool would take the lead at Fulham on Sunday through Sadio Mane, his 17th league goal of the campaign.

Despite Fulham’s awful defensive record, Jurgen Klopp’s side would struggle to find a second goal.

After failing to kill the game off, Liverpool would be punished in the 74th minute after Virgil van Dijk and Alisson failed to deal with a ball over the top of the defence.

However, Liverpool would come away with all three points thanks to a James Milner penalty in the 81st minute.

After scoring the winner vs Fulham, Milner has now either won or drawn every single game he has ever scored in.

Milner has also now converted 13 of his last 14 league penalties.
