Jordan Henderson’s appearance in Liverpool’s meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers this afternoon has seen the midfielder etch his name into the history books of the English top-flight.
Liverpool host Wolves
Jurgen Klopp’s men are currently locked in Premier League action with Wolves at Anfield.
The Reds headed into proceedings with their tails very much up, on the back of a scintillating recent spell of form.
After first clinching the Club World Cup title last weekend, Liverpool travelled to Leicester on Thursday night, for a top-of-the-table clash.
Many suggested ahead of kick-off that a victory for the visitors would all-but sew up the title, with champions Manchester City continuing to struggle for consistency, and Leicester Liverpool’s closest challengers.
When all was said and done, however, not only did the Merseyside giants emerge victorious, but they did so with a statement.
Goals from Roberto Firmino (2), James Milner and Trent Alexander-Arnold eventually saw the European champions depart the King Power with a 4-0 win.
As such, if victorious once again this evening, Liverpool will move a hefty 13 points clear of 2nd-placed Leicester, with the added cushion of a game in hand.
As is customary, an hour prior to proceedings getting underway at Anfield this evening, the starting line-ups of both sides were announced.

And, as outlined above, the inclusion of one Reds star in particular versus Wolves, in the form of Jordan Henderson, has since given rise to an impressive statistic.
Henderson’s start today means that the English international has lined out in 308 Premier League fixtures since 2010.
This is more than any other player has managed this decade.
