Jose Mourinho on requirements to return to management: ‘I need to fight to win’

Jose Mourinho, currently out of a job, has today opened up on the necessary ambitions of any outfit whom may hope to coax him back into management.

Mourinho’s recent struggles

Portuguese tactician Mourinho was relieved of his duties at Premier League giants Manchester United last December, following a dismal start to the season which saw many call into question whether the 55-year-old has what it takes to manage at the top-level anymore.

The earlier years of Mourinho’s career saw the one-time midfielder secure a number of high-profile trophies, including the Champions League with Porto, back-to-back Premier League titles with Chelsea, and even the treble with Inter Milan.

However, though he has since clinched another Premier League title during a second stint with Chelsea, the La Liga crown with Real Madrid and the Europa League with Manchester United, Mourinho has actually been sacked from his last 3 managerial positions.

As such, work in the dugout has since proven hard to come by for the legendary tactician.

This resulted in Mourinho taking on a new role last month, with the Setubal native now a member of the Sky Sports punditry crew.

‘I need a project where I play to win’

If Mourinho has his way, though, he will soon make a return to management at the top level.

Speaking in an interview with The Coaches’ Voice earlier today, the former Man United boss outlined his hopes moving forward, confirming that he has no intention of joining a club whom do not intend to challenge for major trophies every season:
