Is Minamino to Liverpool a done deal?
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has responded to rumours suggesting the club already have a deal in place to sign Red Bull Salzburg’s Takumi Minamino.
The Reds have been heavily linked with Minamino this week.
Following the clash with Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday night, it emerged that Liverpool were in the process of doing a deal for Minamino.
Minamino has scored nine goals and assisted 11 in a brilliant start to the season for Red Bull Salzburg.
Now, Jurgen Klopp has spoken out about interest in Minamino.
“We talk when it is sorted”
Ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Watford this weekend, Jurgen Klopp suggested a deal was in the works.
However, he remained tight-lipped on a deal for the forward.
The German claimed ‘we will talk when it is sorted’.
“Nothing to say now. We talk when it is sorted,” Klopp explained.
“Very good player, I can say that.”
Klopp was also asked a question by a Japanese reporter, to which he responded: “Maybe I will see you more!”
While it’s too early to say when Minamino will come in, it certainly looks a case of when, rather than if Liverpool will sign the Japanese winger.

There’s even more good news for Liverpool fans today.
That’s because as revealed by Liverpool earlier in the day, Jurgen Klopp has signed a new long-term deal, keeping him at the club until 2024.
