Everton vs Chelsea

Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off sees Chelsea travel to Everton.

Frank Lampard’s side had been in slightly poor form recently but they bounced back earlier this week with a 2-1 victory over newly-promoted Aston Villa.

Chelsea head into the weekend’s action 4th in the Premier League, six points above 5th place Wolves.

Everton, on the other hand, are currently in the relegation zone after being put to the sword by Liverpool on Tuesday.

This tie will be the Toffees’ first since Marco Silva was sacked.

Duncan Ferguson will be the man in the Everton dugout on Saturday.

Lampard on Abraham

Frank Lampard spoke to the media on Friday afternoon ahead of the Everton clash.

During his press conference, Lampard gave an update on Tammy Abraham.

The forward missed Chelsea’s loss to West Ham but returned in midweek vs Villa.

When speaking about Abraham on Friday, Lampard stated the forward’s condition is good, although he hasn’t done a lot since the Villa clash.

Lampard also reported that the Everton tie will come too soon for Antonio Rudiger.

Ross Barkley is also set to be in the Chelsea squad to take on his former club.
