Oxford vs Man City
Manchester City will travel to Oxford on Wednesday evening for a League Cup clash.
City are the current holders of the LC and have won the competition in three out of the last four years.
And with City already through to this season’s quarter-final against a fairly weak opponent, the Citizens will likely be keen to progress to the final and make it four wins out of five.
Man City and Oxford would also face off in last season’s League Cup competition.
The tie took place in the 3rd round and City emerged with a dominant 3-0 victory.
To progress to this season’s last eight City have seen off Preston and Southampton.
Pep on Leroy Sane
Ahead of what should be a pretty routine victory for the Premier League outfit, Pep Guardiola held his latest pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
During the presser, Guardiola gave an update on Leroy Sane.
Sane has been out of action for Man City since suffering an injury in the Community Shield earlier this year.
When speaking about Sane, Pep stated the next step for him is to go on the pitch and then train with City:
It is the next step to go on to the pitch, then he will train with us and then full sessions. That would be great for us.
PEP (On @LeroySane19 recovery) It is the next step to go on to the pitch, then he will train with us and then full sessions.
That would be great for us.
