Winks’ Tottenham stint
Harry Winks is a product of Tottenham’s youth system.
The now 23-year-old has racked up 122 appearances across all competitions for Spurs’ senior side.
Partly due to the fact he has had a torrid time with injuries over the last few seasons, Winks has never really been able to hold down a regular starting spot for the Lilywhites.
Winks looks to have bags of ability on the ball and can be a key player for Tottenham.
And what the midfielder lacks in physicality, he certainly makes up for with his technical skills.
Winks’ ability to turn with the ball and link the play between midfield and attack is second to none.
But with the Spurs man now getting on in years, it does seem like he really needs a prolonged run in a side to reach his full potential.
However, while Winks featured fairly heavily at the beginning of the season under Mauricio Pochettino, the England international has seen his game time dwindling somewhat under Jose Mourinho.
Winks has featured just twice in Spurs’ last six Premier League outings with one of those appearances coming for a minute.
Granted, Winks did miss the Norwich clash due to suspension but even without that tie, his game time has taken a dramatic downturn in recent weeks.

Winks to Manchester?
So, with Winks not exactly thriving under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, could we see the gifted midfielder on the move in the near future?
The Tottenham star has recently been linked with both Manchester clubs.
As per the reliable David Ornstein, writing for The Athletic, a large amount of Man City’s recruitment will take place at the end of the current campaign with the centre of midfield an area that will be addressed.
And one of the players thought to be under consideration by City for said area is Tottenham’s, Harry Winks.
However, the Sky Blues may face competition for Winks from their neighbours, Manchester United.
Ornstein reports that Winks has also been discussed by United and is on their list off possible targets for the January window.
