Norwich City boss Daniel Farke has confirmed that star striker Teemu Pukki is set to miss the club’s meeting with Manchester United this weekend.
United host Norwich
The Canaries’ latest Premier League outing will see them travel to Old Trafford tomorrow afternoon.
Norwich will head into proceedings amid a 3-game unbeaten streak across all competitions.
After picking up points versus both Spurs and Crystal Palace, Farke’s outfit booked their spot in the 4th-round of the FA Cup with a 4-2 win at Preston last weekend.
Nevertheless, though, despite their improved run of form of late, Norwich sit dead bottom of the Premier League table.
With just 14 points on the board from 21 league outings to this point in the campaign, the Carrow Road club are staring relegation in the face as things stand.
Pukki ruled out
And the Canaries’ slim hopes of getting things back on track this weekend have not been at all aided by the club’s latest squad update.
Speaking in a pre-match press conference this afternoon, Daniel Farke provided the latest on a number of his side’s sidelined stars, including star hitman Teemu Pukki.
Finnish international Pukki has proven one of the few bright spots in Norwich’s season to this point, having racked up 9 goals and 3 assists.
The 29-year-old has also missed just 20 minutes of the entirety of his side’s league campaign to date.
This, however, is set to change tomorrow afternoon.
Daniel Farke has confirmed that Pukki is struggling with a hamstring problem, and has been ruled out of Norwich’s trip to Old Trafford as a result.

The remainder of Farke’s squad update is detailed below:
Another striking option for Farke in the form of Josip Drmic will also miss the game with his own hamstring problem.
Elsewhere, Ralf Fährmann has shaken off a groin problem and will travel with the squad. Jamal Lewis and Grant Hanley are minor doubts after suffering with illness earlier on in the week but the City boss says both will make the trip.
