Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made the switch to Arsenal in January of 2018 form German outfit, Borussia Dortmund.
The Gunners are believed to have paid around £57m for the forward’s services.
The 2018/19 campaign was Aubameyang’s first full season in North London and he was certainly impressive.
The former Dortmund man bagged himself 22 goals in the Premier League last term earning himself the PL Golden Boot award last season along with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Aubameyang has had a similarly prosperous start to the current campaign.
Despite Arsenal’s dismal form of late, Aubameyang has still scored 10 in 15 PL outings this season.
While it is always good to have someone as talented as Aubameyang in your ranks, the Gunners are pretty reliant on the 30-year-old to come up with the goods and if he doesn’t, Arsenal often struggle.
So, losing Aubameyang would be a huge blow for an already struggling Arsenal side.
Well, Aubameyang is currently contracted to Arsenal until July of 2021.
And while the North London outfit will likely be very keen to tie their standout star to a fresh deal, that reportedly won’t be happening.
According to the Mirror, Aubameyang has pulled out of talks over a contract extension with Arsenal.
The report from the Mirror also claims Aubameyang is ready to quit the club next summer.
