Man United held by Liverpool
Old rivals Manchester United and Liverpool would face off once again on Sunday.
Liverpool headed into the tie in much better form after amassing all available points from their opening eight league games.
While Manchester United began week nine of the Premier League season just two points above the relegation zone.
However, form seemed to go out the window at Old Trafford with United putting in one of their best displays this season, especially in the opening 45.
Marcus Rashford opened the scoring for Man United in the 36th minute and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side looked on course for a historic victory.
However, Adama Lallana would come off the bench and salvage a point for a fairly lackluster Liverpool side.

Man United injury update
After the draw with table-topping Liverpool, Solskjaer would provide an injury update on his squad.
Axel Tuanzebe had to be withdrawn from the starting line-up to face Liverpool shortly before kick-off on Sunday but OGS, at the time, did not know how the defender was.
On a more positive note, Solskjaer was hopeful Jesse Lingard would be back soon while he stated Anthony Martial will be able to play more.
Solskjaer then stated they will have a test on Paul Pogba and see how long it will be until he is back.
Luke Shaw is also not too far away, according to Solskjaer:
“I don’t know how Axel is but hopefully Jesse [Lingard] is back soon.
“Anthony will be able to play more.
“We’re going to have a test on Pogba tomorrow and see where he’s at and how long it’ll be until he’s back.
“Luke is not too long [away]. So, it’s looking brighter and that’s a big plus as well.” As quoted by Manchester United’s official website.
Solskjaer would also reveal that Nemanja Matic has been playing with a little problem. And they now don’t know how long the midfielder will be out for:
“He’s played on with a little problem and we decided he couldn’t play on any more with that. So I don’t know how long he’ll be out.” As quoted by Manchester United’s official website.
