The 10 managers most likely to become Arsenal boss, according to bets placed

Arsenal sack Emery

Arsenal would part ways with Unai Emery on Friday the 29th of November.

The Spaniard had a decent debut season with the Gunners, which saw them reach the 2019 Europa League final and narrowly miss out on Champions League football.

However, this campaign had been pretty terrible for Emery and Arsenal.

After losing to German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, the Gunners were seven games without a win across all competitions under Emery’s guidance.

Freddie Ljungberg has since been made interim boss as the North London outfit search for another permanent boss.

Who will replace Emery?

In the statement confirming Emery had left the club, Arsenal mentioned that the search for a new head coach is underway:

The search for a new head coach is underway and we will make a further announcement when that process is complete.

Arsenal fans may be open to seeing Ljungberg made permanent boss if he puts together some good results whilst he is in charge on a temporary basis.

But given just how poor Arsenal have been so far this term, the Arsenal faithful will probably want someone with more experience at the helm.

At this moment in time, there are a number of top managers currently out of work, such as Mauricio Pochettino and Max Allegri.

There are also a fair few managers already in employment who you would think would be tempted by the lure of a club such as Arsenal.

Well now, Ladbrokes have revealed where the money has been going in the Next Arsenal Manager market.

The bookies are reporting Max Allegri is the most popular pick with punters to replace Unai Emery, with Mauricio Pochettino close behind in second place.

Remarkably, former favourite, Nuno Espirito Santo, is as far down as TENTH in the popularity charts with punters.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said:

“Gooners were in unison when it came to Emery’s future but it looks as though fans and punters are split on his replacement, with Allegri and Poch currently the most popular picks in terms of bets placed.”
