Piatek’s Milan stint
Krzysztof Piatek made the switch to AC Milan in January of 2019.
Milan are believed to have paid fellow Italian outfit Genoa around £34m for the forward’s services.
During his brief spell with Genoa, Piatek was in scintillating form. In the 21 appearances he made for Genoa, Piatek scored a very impressive 19 goals.
However, since be began plying his trade for the Rossoneri, Piatek’s goalscoring exploits have begun to fade away somewhat.
The 24-year-old would hit the ground running in Milan, netting six in his first seven Serie A appearances for the club.
But as the campaign wore on, Piatek’s goal contributions began to fade.
And the 2019/20 campaign has been pretty disappointing for Piatek, compared to the benchmark he set for himself at Genoa.
In 18 league outings this term, Piatek has found the back of the net on just four occasions.
Piatek to Tottenham?
But while Piatek’s form seems to be declining, he still looks to be attracting interest from the Premier League.
According to the Sun, Tottenham have agreed a deal worth £28m for the Polish international.
Piatek is set to sign a three-and-a-half-year contract with Spurs and is scheduled to complete a medical in the next 48 hours, as per the Sun.
Spurs reportedly agreeing a deal with Piatek comes on the back of the North London outfit announcing that Harry Kane is expected to be out till April after suffering an injury vs Southampton.

With Kane absent, Spurs have no senior out-and-out centre-forwards at their disposal and this may indeed be why Tottenham have reportedly decided to bring in Piatek.
