Southampton vs West Ham
Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off will see Southampton and West Ham go head-to-head.
Both sides have had a torrid start to the current campaign and could both really do with three points on Saturday evening.
West Ham have notched up just one win in their last 10 Premier League outings.
As for Southampton, their form has improved slightly in recent weeks, losing just one of their last four league ties.
But both outfits are very much in the relegation battle. The Saints started Saturday 18th in the league with West Ham just one point above them.

Pellegrini on the edge
As mentioned above, West Ham are in simply dismal form and given the squad at Manuel Pellegrini’s disposal, their league position is pretty unacceptable.
Most people would probably have expected the Hammers to be somewhere between 11th and 7th this season, not fighting to stay in the Premier League.
And it seems, despite giving the Chilean plenty of time to turn things around, the West Ham hierarchy are now growing impatient with Pellegrini.
The Telegraph have reported that West Ham have already begun to sound out potential candidates to replace Pellegrini and are ready to sack the former Manchester City boss, should West Ham lose at St Mary’s:
West Ham United have already made moves to sound out potential candidates to replace Manuel Pellegrini in readiness to sack the Chilean if his team lose to Southampton.
The Telegraph then go on to state that former Brighton boss Chris Hughton and Kevin Keen are being considered by West Ham to take charge until the end of the season:
Chris Hughton and Kevin Keen, who is currently an Academy coach at West Ham, are considerations for an interim position until the end of the season
