Wolves boss Nuno Santo gives update on Jota before Man United

Man United vs Wolves

Wolves will travel to Manchester United on Wednesday evening for an FA Cup 3rd round replay.

You can check out 101’s betting tips for the clash here.

The two sides previously played out a 0-0 draw at Molineux earlier this month.

And whoever emerges victorious from Wednesday’s tie is set to face either Watford or Tranmere in the 4th round.

Heading into this clash, it is Wolves who boast the better record in the pair’s recent meetings.

The duo have now faced off five times since Wolves’ promotion to the Premier League in 2018.

Wolves would come out on top in two of those ties with the remaining three clashes all ending as draws.

Nuno Santo on Jota

Nuno would hold his pre-Manchester United press conference on Tuesday.

During the presser, Nuno would speak about Diogo Jota.

The Portuguese winger has been a pivotal member of Wolves’ squad this season but he would miss their last two outings through injury, which he picked up vs Watford.

And Jota looks set to once again miss out on Wednesday with Nuno stating he is hopeful the 23-year-old can start running with the team next week:

“It’s going to be the same squad as the previous game (against United). Diogo had a scan yesterday and next week I think he’ll progress on the pitch. He can start his healing process, he’s doing OK so hopefully he can start with us next week. It’s important, the same as Boly, important, of course.

“He’s been away a long time. We didn’t expect it to be so serious, but he’s healing OK so hopefully next week he can start running with the team. Then it’s about him progressing and getting better, so we can use him in competition.” As quoted by Wolves’ official website.
